At the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), education is the foundation of everything we do. Through the Educate pillar, we inspire and equip students from all Maastricht University faculties to think creatively, act entrepreneurially, and drive meaningful innovation, whether they start their own business or bring new ideas to existing organisations.

 

Entrepreneurship across all faculties

Entrepreneurship is not limited to one discipline. That’s why CEI brings entrepreneurial thinking to every corner of the university. From Business and Economics to Health, Psychology, Law, Arts and Social Sciences, our courses encourage students to explore how innovation can make a difference in their field.

 

Our courses and programs

CEI coordinates and teaches a variety of entrepreneurship and innovation courses across bachelor’s and master’s levels. 

In these courses, students learn to identify opportunities, turn ideas into action, and understand the real-world challenges of running and growing a business. Our problem-based learning approach connects academic theory with practice, preparing students to take on the complex innovation challenges of today’s world.

 

Learning by doing

Education at CEI is hands-on. Students work with startups, SMEs, and regional partners to tackle. Real innovation cases. Through workshops, hackathons, and research projects, they learn to navigate uncertainty, collaborate across disciplines, and create tangible impact.
